Program Overview

AgriStability is a business risk management program, designed to provide financial support when producers incur large financial losses. AgriStability allows producers to protect their farm operations from a large margin decline, while stabilizing their farm income. Benefits are based on a 15 per cent or greater decline of the farm's current production year margin compared to a historical average.

New AgriStability Forms

SCIC is bringing the AgriStability program closer to producers.  Starting in 2012 (2011 program year) all participants must submit their supplemental information (inventories, payables, receivables, deferrals and purchased inputs directly to SCIC.  Previously individual participants had to submit this information to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Interest-free period extended on AgriStability overpayments

The Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation (SCIC) wants to advise participants in the AgriStability program the interest-free period for overpayments is being extended. As of January 1, 2012 the collection of interest on overpayments from the AgriStability program will be deferred for one year.
