DESCRIPTION:  \n \nThe Saskatchewan Beekeepers Development Commission and the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture  are pleased to offer the Beginners Beekeeping Certificate Course encompassing four virtual sessions that will provide you with the basic knowledge to successfully set up and manage a honey bee colony. \nYour instructors will be: \n\nGeoff Wilson – Provincial Specialist in Apiculture – Province of Saskatchewan\nGraham Parsons – Provincial Specialist Biosecurity/Pollination – Province of Saskatchewan\nSimon Lalonde – Commercial Beekeeper – Lalonde Honey Farms\nDr. Medhat Nasr – SBDC – Tech Adaptation Program\n\nWorkshops include: \n\nBasic Bee Biology\nBeekeeping Equipment and how to start\nSeasonal Beekeeping Activities and responsibilities\nDiseases and pests:  Diagnoses and Management\nExtracting\, processing and marketing honey\n\nThe course sessions will be held every Tuesday and Thursday (6:30 to 9:00 p.m.) CMT  Every week starting March 22\, 2022 and ending March 31\, 2022.  One additional hands on session on field practices will be held. \nThe locations will be: \n\nSaskatoon area – 1\nRegina area – 1\n\nDate and Time  – TBA \nFEE:  $150.00 per person includes the cost of manual ” Honey Bee Disease and Pests – 3rd edition” \nPayment: Click  Here- Eventbrite \nOptional :  You may purchase the “Beekeeping  in Western Canada” for an addition $27.99 plus shipping. \nTo register click here  2022 Registration B-Ginners Workshop Form \nCertificate of Participation will be issued to participants.
