(One day will be in Saskatoon area and one day will be in Regina). Students who successfully pass this course will receive a certificate from SBDC that meets requirements towards a beekeeping license application in many areas. \nOur professional instructors include; Mr. Geoff Wilson – Provincial Specialist in Apiculture\, Mr. Graham Parsons – Biosecurity Specialist\, Simon Lalonde – Commercial Beekeeper and Director of SBDC\, and Dr. Medhat Nasr – SBDC- Tech Adaptation Program Lead. \nWorkshop lessons include: \nBasic bee biology\nStandard beekeeping equipment\nHoney bee colony assessments\nSeasonal beekeeping activities and responsibilities\nExtracting\, processing honey and marketing\nDiseases and pests: diagnoses and management practices\nWhat could go wrong as a B_Ginner beekeeper? \nDates & Times: \nThe course sessions will be held Monday and Wednesday March  20\, 25\, 27\, and April 1\, 2025 starting at 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. CST  Hands on Session at Clavet\, SK. – May 10\, 2025.  Lunch and snacks will be provided at the hands on field day which will include a tour of a commercial beekeeping operation \nFee: $175.00. per person and includes cost of a book: “Canadian Association of Professional Apiculturists: Honey Bee Disease and Pests 3rd Edition”. \nRecommended book: Beekeeping in Western Canada. SUMMARY:2025 Intermediate Practical Beekeeping Workshop
